OVERVIEWThe Christie’s London Post War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction is scheduled on March 6, 2018. Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction features work by some of the most revered figures in 20th and 21st-century art, with Andy Warhol’s seminal pop portraiture and the visceral action painting of Jackson Pollock offered alongside superb pieces from the likes of Francis Bacon, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Lucio Fontana and Peter Doig.The same sale last year at Christie’s London realized a total sale of GBP 97.2 Million with 60 lots. This year, the auction is expected to realize a sale between GBP 95.3 Million to GBP 140.8 Million, and there 65 works of 52 artists on offer.
