OVERVIEWChina Guardian Beijing — “52nd China Guardian Quarterly Auctions — Modern and Contemporary Ink Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy” scheduled for September 19, 2018, will offer a selection of paintings, prints, and drawings by leading artists. The auction will feature works by the likes of Liu Dawei, Feng Yuan, Xu Beihong, Tian Huan, Wu Changshuo, Luo Zhenyu, Pu Ru, and Yu Youren.The total sales realized from the “Modern and Contemporary Ink Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy” at China Guardian last year was RMB 15.6 million (including buyer’s premium) with 550 lots. This year, the auction is expected to realize between RMB 30 million and RMB 40 million, with 852 works of 534 artists on offer.
