Auction house Phillips has compiled another tantalizing catalogue of contemporary artworks for its April 13 “Under the Influence” sale in London. As the title suggest, the “Under the Influence” offer works by a selection of important young artists, creating what Phillips describes as “a perfect gateway into the Contemporary Art world for everyone.”Continuing its tradition of using “Under the Influence” sales to introduce young artists to auction, the April 13 sale introduces young American Brooklyn-based figurative painter Jamian Juliano-Villani and LA-based abstract painter Joe Reihsen. German artist Chris Succo, whose work “Everything In It's Right Place (BKNP),” 2014 is the cover lot, was introduced to auction by Phillips last February. The back cover lot is a basketball drawing by Jonas Wood who Tamila Kerimova, Head of Sale, Under The Influence, describes as “one of the most sought after young artists of today.”Other highlights of the sale include Marc Quinn’s painting “Separation of Body and Soul,” 2011 (estimate: £80,000 - 120,000), Frederick Vaerslev’s “Untitled (Terrazzo),” 2011 (estimate: £60,000 - 80,000), Christian Rosa’s “Untitled,” 2014 (estimate: £30,000 - 50,000), Sarah Morris’s Midtown Madison Square Garden (Stairwell), 1998 (estimate: £25,000 - 35,000) as well as works by Julian Opie, Oscar Murillo, Jacob Kassay, David Ostrowski, Mark Flood, Franz West, and Israel Lund.AUCTION: 13 APRIL 2015AUCTION LOCATION: 30 BERKELEY SQUARE, LONDON W1J 6EXVIEWING: 7-13 APRIL 2015OPENING TIMES: Monday – Saturday 10am-6pm | Sunday 12pm-6pm
