Tokyo Chuo Auction’s autumn sales at the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong on November 25-26 will feature some 400 lots across multiple categories: Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, Imperial Treasures, ICHIGO ICHIE - The Art of Tea Ceremony, Fine Scholar's Objects, as well as The Enchantment of Chinese Ink - Letters and Manuscripts from an Important Japanese Collection.Highlights from the Imperial Treasures sale include a selection of extremely rare pieces made for the Qing court, headlined by a rare blue and white “dragon” meiping, Kangxi mark and period (1662-1722). This ceramic vessel, whose extravagant dragon motifs and design was devised by the Qing Imperial Kilns and widely seen during the Kangxi era, features a subtle range of blue hues on a white-glazed blackground.Another highlight is an Imperial celadon-glazed square-formed vase, Yongzheng mark and period (1723-1735) from the Konoike Family collection.
